In a multilingual world, the United States remains a mostly monolingual country. Even though roughly 70 million Americans speak a language other than English at home, almost 80% speak English only.

Book Highlight

Author and illustrator Deana Sobel Lederman visited CALEC offices in New York City a few weeks ago! She signed several copies of her trilogy Rainbow, Masks, and Ice Cream, which are now available in 14 languages!

Nous avons participé début juillet à l'université d'été organisée par DULALA à Paris. Nous y avons tenu une table, présentant notre catalogue de livres multilingues et en particulier Marimba (écrit par Patricia Velasco et Christine Hélot, présidente de DULALA, et illustré par Antun Kojton).
